Student Success Award

HLA provides one $1,000.00 student award annually, with one year free membership to HLA.

All applicants must read the Student Success Award Policy Statement. 

Application must include:

• Application Form
• One page resume
• A statement, no longer than two pages double-spaced, describing:
  • Your professional goals and how this award will help you meet them--highlighting your leadership potential, professional promise, and potential for academic success
• A copy of your transcript (unofficial is acceptable), showing:

                      1.  Your GPA in LIS/ICS courses
                      2.  That you are enrolled in six or more credits for the current semester

• A list of scholarships, awards, and tuition waivers currently receiving and amounts of each
• Minimum one letter of recommendation

The deadline for the 2025 award is Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 11:59 PM (HST).
