Student Success Award

$1,000 Award + One Year of HLA Membership

HLA provides one $1,000.00 student award annually, with one year free membership to HLA.

Application Information

Application Requirements

All applicants must read the Student Success Award Policy Statement .

Application must include:

1. Application Form
2. One page resume
3. A statement, no longer than two pages double-spaced, describing:
   • Your professional goals and how this award will help you meet them--highlighting your leadership potential, professional promise, and potential for academic success
4. A copy of your transcript (unofficial is acceptable), showing:
   1. Your GPA in LIS/ICS courses
   2. That you are enrolled in six or more credits for the current semester
5. A list of scholarships, awards, and tuition waivers currently receiving and amounts of each
6. Minimum one letter of recommendation

Application Cycle

The deadline for the 2026 award is Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 11:59 PM (HST).
