Marshall Breeding
Independent Consultant and Author Library Technology Guides Marshall Breeding is an independent consultant, speaker, and author. He is the creator and editor of Library Technology Guides and the libraries.org online directory of libraries. His monthly column Systems Librarian appears in Computers in Libraries; he is the editor for Smart Libraries Newsletter published by the American Library Association, and has authored the annual Library Systems Report published in American Libraries since 2014. Library Journal from 2002-2013 and by He has authored nine issues of ALA’s Library Technology Reports, and has written many other articles and book chapters. Marshall has edited or authored eight books, including Cloud Computing for Libraries published by in 2012 by Neal-Schuman, now part of ALA TechSource . He regularly teaches workshops and gives presentations at library conferences on a wide range of topics.

Dr. Pualani Kanakaole-Kanahele
President (Retired) Edith Kanakaʻole Foundation Dr. Pualani Kanakaʻole-Kanahele retired from the University of Hawaiʻi and the Community College System in 2013 with forty years of service. Kumu Pualani Kanakaʻole-Kanahele retired as Kumu Hula or Dance Teacher of the Hawaiian traditional dance in 2011, she has been involved with hula since infancy. Aunty Pua has passed on her responsibility as President of the
Edith Kanakaʻole Foundation (EKF) in 2012 with twenty four years of leadership. EKF is a 501C-3 which mission is to elevate Hawaiian intelligence. This retirement has seeped into all other phases of life with committees, community work, broadcasting, etc. Pualani Kanakaʻole-Kanahele is of pure Hawaiian ancestry and is very passionate about being Hawaiian and living on these islands. This passion does not diminish with age therefore no retirement from being. There is in fact an energy that pushes forward to increase understanding. Pua is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, photographer, teacher, author, pilot,researcher, adventurer, sailor, dancer, choreographer, chanter, thinker, activist, creator and a believer of things Hawaiʻi. All of these experiences cast the mold of who she is and how she lives her life. |
Pono Shim
President & CEO Enterprise Honolulu (Oʻahu Economic Development Board) Pono serves as Chairman of the Hawaiʻi Public Housing Authority Board of Directors and was one of five Living Organ Donors appointed to the Organ Procurement Transplant Network/United Network for Organ Sharing: Living Donor Committee where he works on national policies affecting Living Organ Donors. Other boards of directorships or tasks force include the Vice Chair of the Economic Development Alliance of Hawaiʻi, the Friends of ʻIolani Palace, University of Hawaiʻi - West Oʻahu Council of Advisors, Hawaiʻi Clean Energy Initiative Advisory Board, Hawaiʻi Green Growth Board of Directors, and he is the manager for the Community Development Entity, Punawai ʻO Puʻuhonua. He was also on the Selection Committee for the appointment of the Federal Magistrate Judge for 2015.
