If you are interested in presenting at the 2013 HLA Conference, please submit a speaker proposal by Tuesday, April 23.

This year's conference takes place Nov. 8 - 9 at the Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, in Ko Olina on Oahu.

Although we will consider any presentation that is interesting, entertaining, and potentially useful to the HLA community, programs reflecting the conference theme, "Teaching Library Instruction & Information Literacy: Opportunities, Challenges, and Future Directions," are encouraged.

Join the Hawaii Library Association for its annual spring meeting Saturday, May 11, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument Conference Room. The program features guest speakers Jane Kurahara and Betsy Young with a special screening of their documentary, "The Untold Story: Internment of Japanese-Americans in Hawaii."

Cost is $20 general admission, $15 for students, and includes a light meal.
